The art of Sean Terrington-Wright captures the essence of his subjects with flare, daring and elegance. Sean paints impressionist watercolours. He seeks to grasp the fleeting effects of light, atmosphere and mood in a wide variety of subjects. He creates over 80% of his paintings on location, outside in nature. He paints in all kinds of weather. He is passionate about paint, and his style and vision are often dramatic, with exquisite interpretations of light effects, capturing the essence of subjects.
Sean's paintings are infused with a mood, a mystery that entices the viewer into the sense of wonder. He loves the connection between the natural world and his paintbrush. Over the past 35 years, he has painted in many parts of Great Britain, as well as en plein air in Australia, Europe, and USA. He is in demand as an art tutor, leading workshops, courses and demonstrations of his painting style across the UK. He is a Professional Associate member of the Society for All Artists and a member of the West Norfolk Artists Association. |
